What this policy covers
This policy covers the Taraweeh Connect website, including the Community Demand Map and contact forms. Accounts, profiles, verification, listings, messages and bookings are handled in the Taraweeh Connect app and are covered by the app's own privacy policy.
Information we collect
Community Demand Map interest
- Your email address.
- Your postcode district (for example, B11). We use the postcode or place name you enter to find the district and do not store your full postcode or exact location.
- Your preferred transport, an optional maximum travel distance or time, and whether you would join or help form a group.
- Your privacy consent and, if you choose, your separate consent to receive updates, with the time you gave them.
Contact enquiries and requests
- Your name, email address, the topic and your message.
- Requests to remove your data, including the email address the request relates to.
Security information
- A one-way, keyed hash of your IP address, used only to prevent spam and abuse through rate limiting. We do not store your IP address itself.
How we use your information
- To show community demand: we count interest by postcode district and show areas on the public map only when at least 5 people in that area have registered. Individual submissions are never shown. (Lawful basis: consent.)
- To send updates you asked for: only if you ticked the separate updates box. You can withdraw at any time. (Lawful basis: consent.)
- To respond to your enquiry or request. (Lawful basis: legitimate interests.)
- To protect the website from spam and abuse. (Lawful basis: legitimate interests.)
How long we keep information
- Community map interest: 12 months from your latest submission, or until you remove it.
- Contact enquiries: 12 months.
- Rate-limiting records: 24 hours.
- Records of data removal requests: 24 months, so we can show the request was handled.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to its use, and receive a copy of it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
You can remove your map submission using the private link you receive after submitting, or on the Remove a map submission page. For other requests, email support@taraweehconnect.com.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

We will update this page when our practices change and show the date of the latest update.
