Arranging Taraweeh and Qiyam for the last ten nights

Practical planning for hosts and Huffaz focusing on the final ten nights of Ramadan, and how the app’s last 10 nights filters work.

Some communities need an Imam only for the final ten nights of Ramadan, often with longer prayers or a Qiyam programme later in the night. Arranging those nights well comes down to getting the dates right in the app and planning for later, busier nights.

How the app defines the last 10 nights

In Taraweeh Connect, ‘last 10 nights’ means the 10 dates ending on the last day of the Ramadan season set up in the app. If your community starts or ends Ramadan on a different day, check that the dates on your listing or availability match your own plans.

For hosts

  • Set your listing’s dates to the final ten nights only. Huffaz filtering for the last 10 nights see only listings whose dates fall within those nights, so a Full Ramadan listing is not shown to them.
  • Use the description to explain the programme: start times, how late it runs, and whether the Hafiz is expected to lead both Taraweeh and a later prayer.
  • When searching for Huffaz, use the Last 10 nights filter. It shows Huffaz free for all ten nights: those who chose Full Ramadan or Last 10 nights, and those whose Partial Ramadan dates cover the whole period.

For Huffaz

  • If you are only free at the end of the month, choose Last 10 nights in Settings → Hafiz preferences. Hosts see that category on your profile.
  • In Find, use the Last 10 nights filter to see listings for just those nights.
  • Ask about rest. Later nights affect sleep, travel and meals, so agree what the host provides.

Practical planning

  • Volunteers: later nights need people to set up, welcome attendees and lock up.
  • Neighbours: plan parking and noise for late arrivals and departures.
  • Food: decide whether you will provide anything for attendees or the Hafiz late at night or before Suhoor.
  • Transport: late-night public transport may be limited, for attendees and for a Hafiz staying elsewhere.
