Using the Community Demand Map to show there’s interest in your area
How to register interest in local Taraweeh, what the map stores and shows, and what happens when enough people in an area sign up.

If the nearest mosque is too far to reach every night of Ramadan, you are probably not the only person in your area with that problem. The Community Demand Map on this website lets people register that need, so neighbours and organisers can see where a local congregation might work.
Registering your interest
The form takes about a minute. It asks for:
- Your email address.
- Your postcode or town, anywhere in the world. Outside the UK, add your country, for example ‘Lyon, France’.
- How you would usually travel to Taraweeh, and optionally how far or how long you would travel.
- Whether you would join an existing group, help form a new one, or either.
- Your consent to the privacy terms. Updates by email are a separate, optional choice.
What is stored, and what is shown
- Your location is reduced to an area before it is saved: your postcode district in the UK (for example, B11), or your town or city elsewhere. Your full postcode and home location are never stored.
- An area appears on the public map only once at least 5 people there have registered.
- Your email address is never shown publicly or shared without your permission.
- The Near me button uses your location only to move the map. It is rounded to about 1 km and never sent or stored.
When an area reaches 10
Areas with 10 or more interested people are invited to explore forming a group. A group of roughly 10 to 20 regular attendees is a realistic size for a private congregation. The map page then explains the venue and organisation questions to think about, and how an organiser registers as a Private Group in the Taraweeh Connect app.
Changing your mind
After you submit, you are shown a private removal link once. Keep it somewhere safe: it removes your submission straight away. If you lose it, you can send a removal request from the Remove your information page. Interest records are deleted after 12 months.
Help the map work
The map only reflects people who use it. If you know others nearby in the same position, such as students, shift workers or families on a new estate, share the page with them.
