A Ramadan planning calendar for hosts and Huffaz

Your Taraweeh Connect dashboard shows a countdown to Ramadan and, beneath it, the current phase: Registration, Matching season, Ramadan or Post-Ramadan. The phases are a guide only. Nothing opens or closes when one changes, so you can act earlier than they suggest. Here is what each period is good for.

Six months before: registration

• Everyone: register and verify your email.
• Huffaz: complete your profile, upload recitation samples and submit your verification documents.
• Mosques: complete your profile and Settings → Preferences, and submit your verification details.
• Private Groups: start the enhanced checks now. ID, address, a reference and admin approval all take time.

Three months before: matching season

• Hosts: publish listings with dates and a clear honorarium.
• Huffaz: declare your availability so hosts filtering for available Huffaz can find you.
• Everyone: turn on push notifications so applications, invitations and offers reach you.

One month before

• Hosts: hold interviews and send offers. Make sure the listing reflects what you agreed before the offer goes out.
• Hosts: save two or three backup Huffaz in case a booking falls through.
• Huffaz: settle accommodation, meals, transport and the honorarium in chat before accepting.

One week before

• Huffaz: add trusted contacts in Settings → Safety & Support and share your booking details with someone at home.
• Hosts: confirm arrival time and who will meet the Hafiz.
• Both: use the booking’s conversation so all the arrangements stay in one place.

During Ramadan

• Huffaz: answer the arrival check-in on your first day.
• Hosts: if a booking is cancelled, re-open the listing and mark it urgent.

After Ramadan

A booking becomes Ramadan Completed automatically the day after its end date. Both sides then have 30 days to leave a review, and both reviews are published together. Honest reviews are what help next year’s mosques and Huffaz choose well.
