Finding a Taraweeh placement: Find, the map and filters

The Find tab shows open Taraweeh listings from mosques and Private Groups, as a list and on a map. Tap any listing to open its page, which shows the listing’s terms alongside the host’s public details. You apply from that page.

Narrow the list

• Host type: mosques, Private Groups or both. Both is the default.
• City, rakaat, accommodation, women’s section, honorarium and congregation size.
• Last 10 nights: only listings whose dates fall within the final 10 nights. A Full Ramadan listing is not included.
• Include mosques without open listings: off by default. Tick it to find mosques that haven’t posted a listing yet. Private Groups only appear when they have an open listing.

Listings marked ‘Imam needed urgently’ always come first, ahead of the usual distance or newest order. Up to three of them also appear in the Urgent opportunities section of your dashboard.

Using the map

• Mosques that have turned on map visibility appear at their exact location.
• Private Groups appear only as an approximate area, never a precise point.
• Near me centres the map on your location, rounded to about 1 km and never stored.
• Radius search finds listings within a distance you choose.
• Save up to 10 areas you search often, such as your home town and a city you would travel to.

Judging a listing

A mosque’s listing shows the Verified Mosque badge if it has been verified. A Private Group’s listing shows its verification ticks (ID verified, address verified, reference approved) and its trust score. Host profiles show published reviews from Huffaz in earlier Ramadans, once there are any.

Before you apply

• Your email must be verified. The Verified Hafiz badge is not required, except for hosts who have chosen to accept Verified Huffaz only.
• You can have one active application or invitation per listing.
• Use Saved to keep a private list of hosts you are interested in. They are not told.
