Your notifications explained: the bell, unread counts and browser push
What Taraweeh Connect notifies you about, how unread messages are counted, how to turn on browser push, and what notifications never contain.

During matching season an offer can arrive at any time, and a host may be waiting on your reply. Taraweeh Connect has two ways to tell you: the bell inbox inside the app, and optional push notifications in your browser.
The bell inbox
The bell lists your notifications in the app. You are notified about:
- A new invitation.
- Updates to your applications and invitations, such as moving to Under Review, an interview or an offer.
- New applications to your listings, for hosts.
- New messages.
- A booking being confirmed, cancelled or completed.
- Review reminders after a completed booking. Tapping one opens the match page.
- The arrival check-in on a Hafiz’s first day.
Unread messages
- Each conversation shows how many messages you haven’t read, and the Messages tab shows a badge.
- On a shared mosque or Private Group account, each person has their own unread count.
- The other side is never shown that you have seen their message.
Turning on browser push
- Open Settings and switch on Push notifications.
- Allow notifications when your browser asks.
If you refuse permission, the bell inbox still works. You just won’t be alerted when the app isn’t open. You can’t yet choose which types of notification you get, so push covers all of them.
What notifications never contain
Notifications never include message text, addresses or contact details. A new message notification says that a message has arrived, not what it says, so nothing private appears on a lock screen.
